Brad Marchand Stick Spec Check

What Stick Does Brad Marchand Use?

SPEC CHECK: BRAD MARCHAND 🐀

Brad Marchand has been a thorn in the side of every single NHL franchise since he made his NHL debut all the way back in the 2009-10 season. Since then, Marchand has managed to carve out a great career for himself, including six seasons at over a point-per-game clip, and even one 100 point season. Nicknamed "The Rat" for obvious reasons, Marchand of course won The Stanley Cup with the Bruins back in 2011, and has since picked up both a World Cup, and World Championship gold medal as well.

The newly named Bruins captain was a long-time Bauer user before switching to Warrior a half dozen years ago. Not afraid to try out different lines from Warrior, Marchand has been seen using both the hybrid-kick Alpha line as well as the low-kick Covert line. This particular stick features a Covert QRE build in an Alpha DX SL graphic. The super sleek DX SL graphics is one of our favorites, for obvious reasons.

The Halifax, Nova Scotia native weighs in at 176lbs, so using a 95 flex stick isn't that uncommon, but does fall just outside of that "flex is commonly half your body weight" rule-of-thumb that many players use. While standing at 5'9", it is interesting that this stick comes it at a length of 61", which seems taller than someone of Marchand's height would use. With this stick being new and never used, it comes without that shaven down wooden extension Marchand has been known to throw in the top of his stick. Like most hockey players, Marchand also uses a Blade 1 (W03 for Warrior), offering a well-rounded blade profile.
